How much hookah charcoal would I use during a typical smoking session?
How many hookah coals will be used per bowl may depend on various factors such as whether a bowl is foil-covered or using an HMD, whether you are smoking indoors or outdoors, and even how actively the hookah is being smoked. The details below are only to serve as estimates.

If using Fumari 26mm Charcoal on a standard-sized hookah bowl, a 1- to 1.5- hour session will consume 2 to 3 pieces of coal.

If using Fuoco Coconut Hookah Charcoal on a standard-sized hookah bowl, a 1- to 1.5- hour session will consume 3 to 4 pieces of coal.

If using Fumari Quick Silver Hookah Coal, a 1- to 1.5-hour session will need about 6-8 pieces.

How do I light my hookah charcoal?
The best way to light hookah charcoal is outdoors (or in a well-ventilated area) and by using a single-coil electric burner with plenty of power, such as our 1100w Fumari Everyday Coal Burner.

What is the difference between coconut charcoal and easy lighting charcoal?
There are a few major differences between these two types of hookah coal.

1. MATERIAL COMPOSITION: While coconut coals are comprised of smoldered coconut shells, easy light coals are produced from wood such as bamboo.
2. EASE OF LIGHTING: Easy lights can ignite with a pocket lighter and are ready to use in minutes. These coals are ideal for smoking on the go when a power source is not available. Whereas, coconut coals require a stable heat source and take 8 to 10 minutes to fully light.
3. HEAT OUTPUT & DURATION: Easy lights are considered to be a lower heat option and ideal for beginners or any smoker looking for a quick session. These coals can last 20 to 35 minutes. Coconut charcoal is a higher heat option that’s optimal for smokers who desire longer sessions. Coconut coals can last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes on average.
