Sip and Smoke: 5 Wines to Pair with Your Hookah

24th May 2018

In this second installment of our "Sip And Smoke" series, we take you through our top 5 favorite wine and Fumari flavors to pair together, as suggested and tested by Fumari fans and even by some of our staff. Sit back, uncork your favorite bottle of wine, and start packing that bowl!

    1. Cabernet Sauvignon + French VanillaCabernets are the boldest of the red wines and have strong flavor notes like dark cherry, tobacco, and licorice. Our creamy French Vanilla is a perfect complement that adds just a touch of sweetness to the full-bodied flavor of the wine. It's a pairing that's simple, smooth, and sophisticated.
    2. Merlot + RGBMerlot is less bold than a cabernet but full of delicious berry flavors like black cherry, raspberry, and blackberry. When paired with our cherry-raspberry RGB tobacco, you'll get a delicious burst of sweet and tart berry flavors.
    3. Chardonnay + Prickly PearChardonnay is such a versatile white wine that you could have it with nearly every flavor in our line, and you can't go wrong. But since we had to pick one, we found the juicy sweet flavor of Prickly Pear to be the perfect balance for a crisp, dry Chardonnay. The ripe citrus notes of the wine will add a zesty twist to the exotic fruity taste of Prickly Pear.
    4. Riesling + GuavaTraditionally, Rieslings are very sweet wines; when you drink a very ripe Riesling, you get juicy fruit flavors that might remind you of a pineapple, peach, or pear. When you pair a Riesling with our Guava, the taste will take you on that tropical island getaway you've always needed. Shoutout to the Fumari fan who submitted this awesome suggestion!
    5. Champagne + Citrus MintGet the hookah party popping with this bright, bubbly combination. We suggest pairing our cool, flavorful Citrus Mint with a dry champagne; this type of champagne is full of complementary citrus flavor that won't mess with the mint flavor of the tobacco. This refreshing pairing is the definition of a taste bud-tingling experience.
